After service in the British Army, Harry Bucknall, 46, worked in the oil and mining industry and as a consultant in the Middle East. Harry has also produced theatre on the London Fringe, sat on the Olivier Awards Panel and acted as reviewer for Arts Council, London and a number of West End publications. In May 2006, he left London for Venice and travelled the Greek Archipelago, returning in November to write In the Dolphin’s Wake (www.bene-factum.co.uk), the tale of his journey. He has appeared on Radio 4’s Excess Baggage with John McCarthy and since written for The Sunday Telegraph, The Spectator, Sunday Times Travel Magazine, Irish Independent, Country Life and various other travel publications. He lives in London and Dorset with an errant Jack Russell, Sam.
